For the last eight years, our painting workshops in the Bahamas have been wonderful: great group, beautiful place, lots of time to paint, warm weather, and amazing beaches. What's not to like? So we've planned another get-away next winter to a warm and sunny island.

In the tradition of Winslow Homer, we'll be leaving winter behind for an art sojourn in a tropical paradise. So start planning now to join me for a week of painting in charming Elbow Cay, Abaco Island, Bahamas, where we will be based at an art center with full workshop facilities. Students stay at the charming Hope Town Harbour Lodge.

Our daily schedule will include a morning and afternoon instructed plein air session, lessons in composition and color, personal and group daily critiques, and slide lectures on the history and techniques of landscape painting. We'll have both indoor classes in a comfortable studio setting, and time to explore with sketchbooks and paints the beautiful harbor, breathtaking beaches, and charming neighborhoods of Hope Town.

Instruction will be in oil and watercolor. All mediums welcome. Levels: Beginning to advanced, students should have some experience with their medium.
